After two super “business professional” articles on meeting personas and calendar management, I desperately needed to switch gears and work on a super geeky project that allowed me to flex some design and javascript muscles – both very weak from lack of activity. It’s like hitting the gym after a few months, its invigorating but felt quite sore in the morning.
During season 6 of HBO’s Game of Thrones, I nerded out and created a GOT-themed Lorem Ipsum generator on Codepen, boasting two languages – the Common Tongue and High Valyrian. So this year, in anticipation for season 7, I started thinking I needed to up my nerd levels a bit and make some improvements. First I added two additional languages, Dothraki and Hodor. I also greatly expanded the number of sentences available in the Common Tongue. Most notably though, Codepen – as great as it is – wasn’t doing this justice. It needed to be it’s own site, which also gave me the opportunity to update the visual design.
